Re: Magento

I'll definitely take a look at CS-Cart, after using ISC for a while i really like the simple friendly admin interface. We moved to ISC from Actinic so this kind of simple attractive interface was a revelation to us.

Magento

After GrantG informed me that Magento can handle multiple websites on different domains ( http://www.shoppingcartcommunity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1038#p5485 ) I have been looking at this as a possibility. We currently have three ISC stores and running them through one payment gateway wit...

Re: [FYI] CS-Cart Announces "Multi-Vendor" Edition

Just had a bit of a look around Magento. Looks like a bit more complex than ISC. Thanks for the tip I have also just stumbled across a website called Cart2Cart http://www.shopping-cart-migration.com/ that claims to convert all your data across from one cart to another. They have quite a few carts co...

Re: [FYI] CS-Cart Announces "Multi-Vendor" Edition

I'll second this. It would be great if we could have multiple store fronts on different domains all feeding into the same back end.

Running multiple instances of ISC and sorting out separate payment gateways, updating everything separately is a bit of a pain...

Did you ever complete your PayPoint integration Martin, I would be interested to know if it is available and what features it has.

Thanks

Re: [MOD] Show product Out of Stock on product category page

I've just had a look at your site but i see you have set up to require logging in for pricing. Do you use the [HACK] Login for price by meules found at http://www.shoppingcartcommunity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=12&start=0 ? I dont have this on my store so it's possible this is causing a...

Re: Setting up staging or dev copy

I would create a new database for the test site. Better to make mistakes on that than the live site... If you create a new folder say 'test' and install from there then you can import a backup with your store data and copy across the template files. You can copy your files across then edit the confi...

Re: [MOD] Show product Out of Stock on product category page

I have used a 100px x 100px png with a transparent background. You will need to make this the same size as your thumbnails. Open templates\TEMPLATE\Snippets\CategoryProductsItem.html below <div class="ProductImage"> add: <div class="OutImage" style="display:%%GLOBAL_OutImage...
