Re: Undesired Friendly URLs Encoded by Interspire Cart
Looks like an interesting mod, I agree, but a bit pricey too. On their terms & conditions it states no refunds, so I'd assume that's the case with this product too. Looks like they also have a policy of billing for any kind of support, and they say that the act of emailing them, phoning them etc...

Re: Shipping Module producing Strange Characters
An upgrade to 6.1.1 fixed it for us. Basically, the postal service changed the data their rate servers are returning and added some extra garbage. If you want to fix it yourself instead of upgrading you'll need to debug the data you're getting back from the rate quote servers and change the code to ...

Re: [PAID] Google Merchant Static Feed
That was EXACTLY what it was. Silly line endings and different encodings.
I resaved the taxonomy file with ANSI encoding and UNIX line endings. Now it works perfectly. Trust a windows system to notice where *NIX won't.

Re: [PAID] Google Merchant Static Feed
I had a look at the categories stored in the database, and they look fine there at least at first glance. They have their proper parent categories assigned etc (Cat Collars is not stored under Bird Supplies in the DB). I did empty the tables, turn it off, and re enable it as suggested. (I Emptied pr...

Re: [PAID] Google Merchant Static Feed
Hey Martin, when you mentioned a fix for the disappearing categories, was that supposed to be in 1.4.0 Beta 2? I downloaded it today and installed it to replace my 1.3.1. install, but I'm seeing very weird behavior in the interface to select the correct categories for the products from google taxono...

Re: Well?
This is gonna sound crazy maybe, but for now I'm sticking with my 6.1.1 Interspire Cart. But knowing there will not be any further development time put into it by Interspire, I'm going to feel a lot more free to hack it mercilessly. There's no point in maintaining an 'upgrade path' for something tha...

HOW TO: Add New Exportable Fields
I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but some fields from the Orders table are not included in the available export fields you can choose for your export templates. For example, the Order Discount field (orddiscountamount), and the Coupon Discount field (coupon_discount) are not available to exp...

Re: Closing this forum if...
The patch I listed in my post above has now disappeared from the Interspire Site. Also found an issue this weekend with the integration of the marketer and shopping cart. Apparently, though you can supposedly integrate the two on the email marketing tab, the integration is VERY weak even on adding p...

Re: Undesired Friendly URLs Encoded by Interspire Cart
I'm not aware of any easy workarounds for this issue, though perhaps one of the guys who's sent more time in the code up to their elbows might. I struggled with this a long time and finally gave up. I took all the special characters out of my product names and page names. It isn't much of a solution...
