Re: [PAID] Google Merchant Static Feed

The new version will include a user settable variable: $include_hidden_categories which can be set to true or false.
What if a product is cross-merchandised in BOTH a hidden category and visible category. ~ Will the fact that it appears in a hidden category prevent it from being included?

[PAID] Google Merchant Static Feed (tmp)

Does this (or will this) include the shipping cost information? Does/will it query the database to fetch the static shipping costs based on the shipping tables set up for each vendor? Google Says: "Starting June 6th, 2011, we’ll also require your product listings to include tax and shipping inf...

Re: EIGHTEEN cool mods for ISC

Errm.. Yes this is true.. Here's me thinking being under one bonnet, it would perhapes be simpler to point people from another place to here in one URL ??!!! Can they be split and using the original headers placed into the right forum sections :?: At this stage, I think that trying to divide this t...

Re: EIGHTEEN cool mods for ISC

Just curious... why do you add each new snippet and mod in the same (retitled) thread? It seems to me -- and perhaps I'm mistaken -- that it would be more helpful if these modifications, tweaks and code-snippets (no matter how small) were each introduced in their own thread. ~~ I'm not sure that I u...

Re: [Module] Froogle Static export

- Google dislikes "special" characters in product names. I often use the tilde "~" as a decorative separator, and Google would reject those items often (not every time, but often enough to be annoying.) For the product's display name, I convert all tildes into ordinary hyphens. ...

Re: [Module] Froogle Static export

Other suggestions: - Google prefers product names that are no more than 70 characters. I've tweaked mine to count characters and trim off the excess. If it splits in the middle of a word then I subtract three more characters and add "..." (Three separate periods, not the html ellipses.) - ...

That's cool with me. (And remember... lots of comments are GOOD. That's how I learn, and tweak.)

Re: Store Credit

First of all... I'm very impressed with the fact that you created a video to explain the issue you're having! That's absolutely brilliant! I'm afraid that I do not have an easy solution to your problem. ~~ It appears that this is another example of ISC's lazy programming and incomplete testing. One ...

Re: Store Credit

Please provide more information... Which version of the software are you using?

ISC 4.0? ISC 5.5? ISC 6.0? ... Starter edition? Professional? Ultimate?

The solution to your problem may not be the same for every version.

Re: ISC Backup... The Kernel For A Dead-Images Remover??

Some final thoughts: Fortunately, my products are seldom deleted. Once listed, they remain for a long time. So it's taken me over two years to get the the point where I had 33% image-bloat. I agree that my solution is TEDIOUS and CONVOLUTED!! (Taking a backup... renaming the backup... then copying t...
