Variation pics query

Just a quick query..?
I have (say) a jacket in 3 different colours (black, white & blue), all with small, medium and large sizes.
I have front, back and side images for black and the same for the other two colours.
Will I only be able to view one image in the variations for all except black?
I've fiddled a bit with the settings but it doesn't look like I can see 3 views for the other two colours, only the 1st.
