Social networking

Post by netjet »

Hi guys,

I would like to add on each product a button for twitter and for facebook so the customers can share the product with others. Does someone know how to do this?

Thanks
Martin

You can add in a bit of JS in one of the template snippet files I believe...

This seems to do something along the lines of what you need:

Guys When we use the facebook api it works but the "I like" button is not specific to a product. Let me explain, the "Ilike" button is quite easy to integrate to the website, but when someone clic on it, it's like he liked all the products. Do you understand what I mean?

Is that using the built in 6.1.x Facebook like button? If so, that doesn't happen for us?

Each product that someone hits like on gets set up as a new product page in your facebook profile. Other people will then get added - at least that seems to be the way, I tested a few products and they all produced new pages. Pretty slick I thought

Tony,

The only way I found for having each product "liked" is to use the "add this" module. I would prefer to use only the facebook api, which I think is a better way for seo.
thanks
